Biz Osmanliyiz!

We are Ottomans!

————————————-

"I am also watching that some people are unjustly attacking the Ottomans. No one
has any right to attack the Ottomans. The Ottomans proved themselves, ruling for 700 years -- and justly. If people don’t know how they ruled they just have to look from the end, 1923, until today, whatever happened between these dates. Then they will understand how many wrong things happened in this world today. There was only one nation. The westerners entered and they destroyed it and made it 45 different nations. That should be enough for us to understand how they have destroyed us.

When the Ottoman Empire was standing, it was impossible for them to enter and to separate us. The history is there even if we like it or not. They didn’t live for their egos, they lived for the Nation of Muhammad (asws), to make them to become better servants to Allah; and they lived to be pleasing Allah and His Prophet... So it is wrong for people to be attacking the Ottomans -- the Ottoman Sultans especially, who were all in the different levels of sainthood. Not a single Ottoman Sultan came who was not a saint. They were all Beloved to Allah and they tried to do what Allah and His Prophet wanted them to do.

We believe they did what is for them -- but we didn’t do what is for us; and we are finding it too easy today to attack those who stood very strongly against the unbelievers. Islam has reached to us because of them, because they stood strongly. Otherwise we wouldn’t even be Muslim today. That’s one thing. Also people must understand that attacking or saying anything bad against those who tried their best for the safety of Islam, for the safety of other people, is not going to give them anything. It is just going to bring them down to lower stations, it is not going to bring anybody to give them high titles.

"These kinds of things should not happen among believers, especially among Osmanli Naks'i-Bendis. We are the ones that Grandshaykh has ordered to try to wake up the Ottoman way of living again. So many are not understanding that when you say “Ottoman,” it doesn’t mean Turk or Arab. If you are an Arab – you are Ottoman. If you are a Pakistani – you are Ottoman. If you are a Turk, you are Ottoman. If you are Boshnak, you are Ottoman. If you are British, you are Ottoman. If you are American, you are Ottoman. If you are from any other nation and you are accepting Islam, then you have to come under one flag, the Ottoman flag. What is so hard about that? Everyone is accepting to be American, but not accepting to be Ottoman. When you go to a Greek, he says “I am Greek-American.” Turks, “I am Turkish-American.” Italian, “Italian-American.” But no one is saying “I am Arab-Ottoman,” or “I am Turk-Ottoman,” or “I am this Ottoman.”

So that is another problem. People are showing to me that they have not understood how the Ottomans were ruling. The Ottoman Dynasty was ruled by the Turkish people -- as the Abbasyids were Arabs and the Amawis were Arabs, the ruling system of the Ottomans was Turk. They were ruling justly, and no one should make any mistake. Anyone who is attacking, of course, we can say only "don’t" -- but if they are still going to attack, then they will be damaging themselves -- and there is a possibility that they may even lose their faith, because they are attacking to the Beloveds of Allah. Those of that family have been praised and protected by Holy Prophet (asws) when the Prophet said, 'That one who is going to conquer Istanbul is the greatest of generals and his army is the best of the armies.' So when people search and they understand who are those, then they will stop attacking, inshallah.

It was wrong to attack that time, it is still wrong today; but we have not learned from the mistakes that our grandfathers made, who stood against the rulers of Islam and helped unbelievers to bring down Islam. Today their grandchildren are trying continuously to make the same mistake. We should not -- we should just wake up to understand what they did, how they uprised against the Sultan, against the Khalifa, and then how everything came down, and what kind of situation that the world is in today. You don’t need to ask anybody, you can see. Everyone is seeing -- anywhere you go, you can see what kind of a situation that the world is in today. They turned it into a hell. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin.

Inshallah this much should be enough for those who want to learn something. Otherwise, people are always going to find something they want to argue with each other about, but I am not allowing those people who are accepting Shaykh Maluana as their Grandshaykh and us as the Deputy -- they are not going to argue. There is no argument in our Way, it is not accepted and we are very strict with discipline and manners. If there are three people somewhere, one must be the leader, one must be. The other ones must be listening to that one because this is the order of the Holy Prophet asws -- the other ones must listen to the one who has the best knowledge.

Wa min allahu tafiq, bi hurmati habib, bi hurmati fatiha. Amin. Selam alaykum."

    Selamun aleykum…

I’m not a turk, let alone an Osmanli. I met many Turks here in Malaysia and most of them have almost the same enthuthiasm about Osmaniyah Empire, the culture, the heritage. I like to see this spirit and I will like it more if they can bring back Ottoman Empire in Europe. Amin

    BismillahirRahmanirRahim,

Selam Aleykum va Rahmetullahi va Berakatahu,

Welcome to both of you, Mash’Allah!

    Nizar -

Insh’Allah Nizar, be a little patient, the Ottomans are coming back soon Insh’Allah Rahman.

    Yusuf,

    Mash’Allah to you!

Visit again soon, Insh’Allah I will begin a series of posts on our front page, about the daily life and domestic life of the Empire, from the Sultan to the Common man, with my Sheykh’s support. We of the Osmanli Naksibendi-Hakkani Dergah – http://www.naksibendi.org. For more info, you can join our yahoo groups if you have a yahoo account.

We are dedicated to showing the truth of who the Ottomans really were, and their righteous rule for 700 years was the will of Allah as is told in the hadith by our Holy Prophet(ASWS) –

He(ASWS) is saying, ‘After me the Khulafa-e-Rahideen, then the Righteous Kings, then the Sultans. When the Sultans are finished, the Jababirah rule will enter for a hundred years(Tyrant rule). When that time comes you will be unable to change that, so don’t try to interfere – instead take yourself away(to the mountains) and connect with your Lord. And wait for Sahib-uz-Zaman to appear.’

Alhamdulillah. Ramazan Kareem! Welcome to those who enter and Farewell to those who Leave.

    Allah emanat olunuz,

    Selam Aleykum,

    Biz Osmanliyiz! Pek Sanliyiz!

Friend, the Ottoman Empire broke up many years back and we can define ourselves more globally now, God willing. Let’s not define ourselves as ‘against the west’ but rather as ‘for the wider humanity.’ This is the point missed by some activists in this great century.

    Selam from Kuala Lumpur,

I used to live with some Nurcu in Kuala Lumpur. I believe their routines are almost the same as that of Suleymaniye or Nakshabendici. Probably different methods or mission but the vision seem to be one. Living in a moderate Islamic way. I’m not in any groups of scholars from Turkiye. But I’m happy to be with any of them. I was surprised to know such groups exist in Turkiye because I was given a different impression about the Turks from many books. I have a plan to live for 2 months in Turkiye but I have to overcome money and time constraint. I want to learn Turkish language and culture and find a decent Turkish girl to marry, Insha-Allah. Even though, I don’t think I will even join any of the cemaatlar, I will always support the good deeds they want to do.

    Allah’a emanet ol!

    BismillahirRahmanirRahim,

    Selam Aleykum Nizar,

Welcome to you! We are Osmanli Naksibendis, following Naksibendi-Hakkani way, with Sheykh Mevlana Nazim al Hakkani as our Sheykh. His deputy, Sheykh Abdul-Kerim Effendi with direct permission and ijaza from Sheykh Mevlana Nazim, has been conducting Dhikr and Sohbet every Friday in the Manhattan, New York Area for more than ten years, as well as dhikr and sohbet in the Washington D.C. and Virginia Area. Please visit Naskibendi.org for the latest Sohbets from Cyprus from Sheykh Mevlana Nazim, as well as the latest sohbets from Sheykh Abdul-Kerim.

Insh’Allah Rahman, if we follow those who our Holy Prophet (ASWS) is telling us to follow after him – His inheritors (the Sheykh’s and Evliya)- then the burden becomes easier on us, Insh’Allah, and we see the path clear in front of us. Search your heart and find what it is missing – Often times we don’t know what is missing until we find it. May Allah make it easy for you to find what is best for you. What we think is good for us, may not always be of benefit, and what we think is bad for us, may in fact be a blessing. The ‘submission’, which Islam represents, the relationship of servant to Master, creature to Creator, is that we submit it all – Our likes and dislikes we’ve developed over the years – influenced by our surroundings – and see if it fits to the likes and dislikes of our Lord. Insh’Allah Rahman, we will run to those guides he has put over us, and win for ourselves, in this dunya and Akhirat. May Allah have Mercy and Blessing on you and your family, Ameen. For the sake of His most Beloved One in Divine Presence.

    Allah emanat ol,

    Hyder Ali

look at muslim population around the world today. ha! they r either living under dictator rule or living in a stone age livestyle.
no wonder many of those trying to get out of their hell hole migrate to a better place like europe and america.

    BismillahirRahmanirRahim,

    Dear passingby,

I don’t understand the point you are trying to make. It is true that civilizations come and go, but to undermine a civilization or to reject the admiration of just rule, simply because it’s “gone” – doesn’t serve much of a purpose except to further feed a cynic’s point of view.

The current state of the muslim world has been reached post world-war 1, after the Sultanate was both forced down, and the last ruling Caliphah stepped down from the throne. Since that time, the “Allied forces” carved up the empire for obvious interests, set up governments that served these interests, and have left the general mess you see today. This is the aftermath of Euro-centric “diplomacy”. The ‘problems’ in the muslim world that you speak about began not 80 years ago, a trifle amount when you compare that to 1453 years of Islamic History, 700 of which were ruled by the Ottomans. 80 years, SINCE the Ottoman Sultanate came down, from european backed power games and greed.

But I digress – the main point is that ‘Ottoman’ is not a Nationality, but it is an ideal which was implemented for 700 years, to rule its peoples – muslim, christian, jew, etc. – justly – and they did. The Ottoman way is the real Islamic way, and those who hold this ideal highly, meaning value it, desire a return of for the betterment of the world. Your last statement implies that emigrating to a nation entails that you drop your rich cultural heritage and traditions. I live in America, and value my life here, because of the general freedoms and tolerance- freedoms which were widely enjoyed for centuries under: – the Ottomans. So I don’t know exactly what is making you so haughty, – but, Insh’Allah you & I will both see the return of the Ottomans and the return of justice to this world. Biz Osmanliyiz and Pek Sanliyiz!

P.S. – I admire the rich traditions of China as well, and appreciate that although the government is now Communist, the people still value and honor their cultural past.

    Selam Aleykum,

    - Hyder Ali
